Manchester City will be aiming to make it seven wins from eight across all competitions when they welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers to the Etihad Stadium on Friday night.

Pep Guardiola‘s side got the better of Nottingham Forest in their FA Cup semi-final at Wembley on Sunday, setting up a showdown with Crystal Palace in the final in mid-May, while they are also in the driving seat to secure a top-five spot in the Premier League.

The race remains tight though, with five clubs still in the hunt for three places, and any slip-ups will likely be punished at this stage of the season.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up City’s latest injury and suspension news ahead of their showdown with Vitor Pereira‘s side, who made it six successive Premier League wins last time out, getting the better of a beleaguered Leicester City at Molineux.

Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: May 18 (vs. Bournemouth)

Haaland picked up an injury in his left ankle during the FA Cup win away to Bournemouth at the end of March, with the City top scorer expected to return before the end of the season, but he has still not returned to training.

Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Rodri picked up an ACL injury in the clash with Arsenal at home in September last year, and there is no chance of the Ballon d’Or winner playing in the Premier League again this season, with an appearance at the Club World Cup also looking unlikely.

Possible return date: May 18 (vs. Bournemouth)

Ake had to undergo surgery on a fracture in his left foot in March, and Guardiola revealed he is recovering well, with a comeback before the Premier League season is out looking likely.
