Manchester City will NOT allow Jack Grealish to leave on loan this summer, talkSPORT understands.

Grealish has been linked with clubs including former side Aston Villa and Tottenham after starting only seven Premier League games this season.

The England international spoke openly about his frustrations at a lack of playing time after scoring against Leicester last month.

But with Kevin De Bruyne leaving the Etihad at the end of the season and Kyle Walker having already departed, Grealish is seen as one of the senior heads in the dressing room.

City know they would not be able to recoup the £100million they paid to trigger the 29-year-old’s Aston Villa release clause and are reluctant to weaken the squad by sanction a temporary departure.

Grealish is also understood to be settled in the north west and his inclusion in the starting line-up for Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final win over Nottingham Forest was seen as positive by his camp.

‘Happy’ Kane to stay at Bayern

England captain Harry Kane plans to stay at Bayern Munich for at least one more year – dashing hopes of a Premier League return this summer.

Kane is believed to have a release clause in his Bayern contract that drops to £54m for an English team in January.

That clause had put a number of clubs, including Manchester United, on alert that Kane could be open to a move back once he has picked up the first league title of his career in the coming weeks.

However, sources close to Kane have indicated he is happy in Bavaria and would like to have a crack at defending the Bundesliga and winning the Champions League before even contemplating his exit.

Kane, 31, who averages virtually a goal a game for Bayern, knows his England place is secure all the time he is continuing to perform at the highest level.

Since joining the German giants for £100m in 2023, Kane has recorded a total of 80 goals and 24 assists in 89 appearances in all competitions.

Outcast Chelsea star could head to Germany

Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is attracting interest from German side Bayer Leverkusen.

Kepa has spent the season on loan at Bournemouth after being told he has no future at Chelsea and the Cherries are weighing up whether to try and sign him permanently.

Leverkusen’s current number one Lukas Hradecky turned 35 in November and deputy Matej Kovar has disappointed when pitched in this season.

Chelsea have made it clear they have no plans to reintegrate the world’s most expensive goalkeeper into their squad.

Leverkusen can also offer Champions League as they are second behind champions-in-waiting Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.

Kepa hasn’t played a game for Chelsea since May 2023, in their final match of the 2022/23 season, having then spent the 2023/24 campaign on loan at Real Madrid.

Southampton takeover?

Wannabee buyers are circling over Southampton following their return to the Championship.

Investors believe owner Dragan Solak could be tempted to cash in his shares after overseeing two relegations in three seasons.

However, talkSPORT has been told by sources close to the Serbian billionaire that it would take a big offer to sell up, with suggestions of a £125m price tag laughed off.

Solak paid £100m for an 80 per cent majority stake in the south coast side in January 2022, but his investment has not gone according to plan and they are in danger of joining Derby County in the record books with the lowest Premier League points tally of just 11.

Cable television tycoon Solak believes Saints can raise well over £100m this summer by selling the likes of goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, England defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis and teenage talent Tyler Dibling.

Solak recently hired German Johannes Spors as sporting director in a bid to turn their fortunes around.

Spors is heading their search for a new manager to lead them in the second tier.
