Tottenham face a seismic game against Bodo/Glimt on Thursday.
Spurs welcome the Norwegian side to north London for the first leg of the UEFA Europa League semi-final, which represents a chance for Tottenham to salvage this miserable 2024/25 campaign and emerge with a trophy, and the additional prize of UEFA Champions League qualification.
Ange Postecoglou has already faced the Eliteserien outfit in recent years, clashing with them in the UEFA Conference League while still at Celtic back in the 2021/22 campaign.
With the Australian’s job seemingly riding on this semi-final, let’s take a look at how he fared against Bodo/Glimt last time out.
Ange Postecoglou must learn from 2022 meetings against Bodo/Glimt
To be blunt, Celtic – who Troy Deeney almost joined – were hammered by the Norwegians after meeting in the UEFA Conference League playoff in February 2022.
Bodo/Glimt stunned the Scottish giants in the first leg when recording a 3-1 win at Celtic Park, scoring after just six minutes.
It took Bodo/Glimt just three minutes longer to open the scoring in the second leg, swiftly making it 4-1 on aggregate just nine minutes into that clash, before ultimately knocking Postecoglou out by a 5-1 aggregate scoreline.

How Ange Postecoglou reacted after 5-1 loss to Bodo/Glimt
After the comprehensive defeat, Postecoglou – who could be replaced by Niko Kovac – said: “The levels of performance weren’t at the level we needed them to be.
“I expect to go further in every competition we play, that’s the nature of this football club. Europe for us was beyond us in terms of levels we needed to get to. It’s my responsibility to make sure we improve and next year ensure that we perform better. I think the supporters understand where we’re at and what we need to do.”
Postecoglou was not playing for his future in that particular two-legged tie, but this time around, defeat to Bodo/Glimt with Tottenham could well see Daniel Levy swiftly print out his P45.
