Former Bayern Munich campus coach Erik ten Hag could be in line to replace former Bayern Munich midfielder Xabi Alonso as head coach of Bayer Leverkusen.
Alonso has been very closely linked to the Real Madrid job opening and it appears that Bayer Leverkusen could look toward the former Manchester United boss to lead the squad next season per Sky Sport:

According to Sky, Erik Ten Hag is a serious candidate for Leverkusen!
➡️ The 55-year-old Dutchman (currently without a club) is on the Werkself’s shortlist, as Kicker first reported. However, there have been no concrete talks with Ten Hag himself. Leverkusen, however, has gathered crucial information and has been checking various coaches and their availability for days. This includes Imanol Alguacil of Real Sociedad San Sebastián.
ℹ️ Bayer 04 is still waiting as of Wednesday morning for the decision of Xabi Alonso, who is expected to move to Real Madrid if Carlo Ancelotti leaves the club.
