Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City have long been linked with Eberechi Eze, a 26-year-old who is continuing to thrive at Crystal Palace.
Eze now has 10 England caps to his name owing to his brilliant form for Palace, a side he has now helped to an FA Cup final.
Under Oliver Glasner this season Eze has netted nine goals and provided 11 assists in 38 appearances, and those are now considered as fairly average numbers by the midfielder’s new standards.
Eze has flourished into a talent that almost all top Premier League sides are taking note of and Tottenham and Man City are no exceptions.
Tottenham want to buy Eze potentially as their Son Heung-min replacement, a Spurs stalwart who faces an uncertain future himself.

That being said, TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has now provided an update on Eze’s situation heading towards the summer transfer window.
Eze feels on his part that it’s the right time to leave Palace this summer — something he’s communicated to the club.

Discussing Eze’s situation, Bailey said: “Much will depend on Palace’s demands around his release clause, very few are needed to be paid in one lump sum and I don’t believe that Palace will do that to Eze either.
“Tottenham love the player, we know that – but they are not alone – Manchester City like him a lot, I am told that Pep Guardiola is an admirer.
“City are looking at bolstering their attacking midfield ranks but Florian Wirtz is ahead of him in that regard, and I believe so are Lucas Paqueta, Charles De Ketelaere and Francisco Trincao but I would not dismiss it totally.
“Newcastle and Aston Villa also admire him, and if he does go – it will be a team playing in Europe.
“Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are all fully aware of him and are fans of his talents, but I don’t believe he is a priority for them as it stands.
“Eze for his part feels the time is right to move and has expressed this to Palace.”

The Palace star has certainly come a long way with the club and it’s remarkable to think that Arsenal actually released Eze when he was a youngster.
Of course, Eze will come up against City in May’s FA Cup final, and Palace will be hoping to avoid another defeat to a Manchester based side at Wembley.
Palace lost the 2016 FA Cup final to Manchester United, but things have obviously changed a lot since then.
Although, it does feel as if Steve Parish will need to oversee something of a rebuild in the summer to continue the club’s success under Glasner.
