TBR Football can exclusively confirm that Leeds United made enquiries over a potential move for Tottenham Hotspur cult hero Eric Dier.
Leeds United will be back in the Premier League next season after Daniel Farke got them promoted at the second attempt.
As a result, the Whites are already planning for next season as they look to build a squad capable of staying up in the top flight.
Meanwhile, Dier is set to leave Bayern Munich after just one season.

Leeds United among teams set to miss out on Eric Dier as AS Monaco move agreed
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Eric Dier has turned his back on a potential return to the Premier League.
Dier has enjoyed a decent season with Bayern, starting 13 league games under Vincent Kompany, and the German giants were keen on him staying at the Allianz.
However, Bayern were only willing to offer the 31-year-old a one-year deal with an option.
Dier has now agreed terms with Ligue 1 side AS Monaco on a two-year deal.
TBR Football can reveal that Dier’s camp held talks with ‘several’ Premier League clubs in recent weeks.
We understand that Leeds, Brighton & Hove Albion, Crystal Palace, West Ham, Fulham and Brentford all showed an interest.
What Eric Dier previously said about Leeds United
Dier has come up against Leeds five times during the course of his career, all for Tottenham in the 2020s.
The Englishman, who made 365 appearances for Spurs, has been on the winning side four times and on the losing side once.
Dier’s lone defeat to Leeds came in the 2020/21 season as the Whites beat Spurs 3-1 at Elland Road on 8 May 2021.
Speaking after the game, Dier said, as per Leeds Live: “I thought Leeds were the better side first half, they make things very difficult.
“They are very aggressive, they create controlled chaos from their point of view and we didn’t control that so far.
“We let ourselves get into their game a bit too much and then got back into it, but conceded again – poor goals we conceded.
“Second half we did better, especially for the first 30 minutes, we had a bit more control of the game but we didn’t create enough chances.”
