Trent Alexander-Arnold has continued to play with the emotions of Liverpool fans with what he posted on his social media story on his return to the AXA Training Centre.
Liverpool secured their 20th English league title on Sunday after beating Spurs 5-1, to go level with Manchester United as the most successful team in the English top flight.
Following the game, Alexander-Arnold did not speak to the media after requesting so prior to the game due to the ongoing speculation surrounding his future.
The England star looked certain to join Real Madrid following reports last month from Alex Crook stating he had agreed to move to the Champions League holders on a free transfer.
However, there has been no confirmation of his departure from Anfield to date, and his social media activity has cast doubt over whether he will leave his boyhood club.
After being inactive for a large period Alexander-Arnold has returned to social media to celebrate Liverpool’s title.
On Wednesday, he posted a picture arriving at the club’s training ground with the message ‘Premier League Champions’, convincing Liverpool fans even more that there is a serious chance he will extend his contract.
One fan wrote: “If he decides to stay someone needs to make an edit of Batista (Trent) turning on Triple H (Bellingham) and Flair (Perez).”
Another commented: “F**ks sake Trent make up your bloody mind I’m going crazy.”
A third theorised: “Just doesn’t make sense why he hasn’t signed a pre-contract with Madrid… if it is 100%. What happens if he suddenly tears his ACL in May?”

A fourth fan replied: “I really hope he’s just trying to do the Gerrard to Chelsea saga, don’t care if he’s that hungry for attention thankfully Real is not doing well at the moment too.”
However, not everyone is convinced by the defender’s sudden flurry of social activity.
One fan wrote: “Why would he not be at training? Contracted player and the season isn’t over.”
Another added: “We all know he’s leaving guys…”
