Chelsea fans are convinced that they may have the next Lamine Yamal already at the club as his statistics at under-16 are seriously impressive.
Ever since he first broke into the Barcelona lineup last season after graduating from the legendary La Masia academy, Yamal has established himself as one of the best players in the world.
Of course, his impressive performances immediately led to fans looking at their own club’s academy to see if they could identify the next Yamal before they blow up.
And Chelsea fans are convinced that they have the guy, and the stats he is putting up at an under-16 level are unbelievable.
At 17-years-old, Yamal has already made 100 appearances for Barcelona, averaging at least one goal contribution per game with 22 goals and 33 assists.
But Chelsea supporters think that young attacking midfielder Ibrahim Rabbaj could match or improve on this if he were given the opportunity to make the move from the under-16s to the senior team.
Replying to a fan asking fans to identify the next Yamal, a Chelsea fan shared unverified stats the claim that Moroccan international registered 50 goals and 60 assists in 42 games.
Another shared a video of Rabbaj making his U18 debut, with the title asking: “Better than Lamine Yamal?”
While one, more confident fan, even posted: “Ibrahim Rabbaj gonna be better than Yamal.”

In response to a highlights reel sowing of Rabbaj’s talents, one Chelsea fan said on Reddit: “Don’t think Messi was putting up these numbers at this age. Hopefully they have him on a diet now to help him grow into his body.
“If this guy has a decent growth spurt then he could be something special, nothing against the smaller players it’s just with the increase in games it would be beneficial to have a bigger frame than Messi.”
The midfielder caught the eye of many fans last month as he scored twice within 23 minutes of making his first start in the U18s Premier League in the match against Leicester City.
But Chelsea fans hoping to see him make his senior debut may have to wait until he turns 17 in January 2026, as Chelsea may wait until they can sign him to a professional deal to promote him.
