Harry Redknapp has always been a master operator in the transfer window.
Redknapp doesn’t like his ‘wheeler dealer’ tag, but, make no mistake about it, there aren’t many managers in football history who love a good bargain as much as Redknapp.
During his time at Tottenham, Harry Redknapp made some incredible signings, while he also missed out on some remarkable additions too.
Harry Redknapp wanted Eden Hazard at Spurs, while Luis Suarez was a Redknapp target at one point too.
As for the players Redknapp did sign, speaking to Al Arabiya News, the former Spurs boss has named who he believes to be the best signing he ever made for Tottenham.

Redknapp was asked to name who he believes was his best signing
Redknapp signed some remarkable players for Tottenham, but according to the gaffer, Rafael van der Vaart was his best signing at Spurs.
“Who were your best and who were your worst signings in your mind?” Redknapp was asked.
“Well, I go back to my days at Bournemouth, making good signings, lads who’d come in and change my future really. Someone like Rafa van der Vaart was a fantastic signing for me at Tottenham in a last-minute deal. A great player, came in and set the place alight, he was amazing,” Redknapp said.

Van der Vaart was incredible for Tottenham, and Redknapp believes he was his best signing for Spurs.
Redknapp is a great judge of talent and a great judge of a bargain, and it’s hard to argue with his point of view here.
Indeed, Van der Vaart was probably the most talented player Redknapp signed for Spurs, and at just £8m he was a great price too.
Of course, Redknapp made a number of other top signings at Tottenham.

Redknapp certainly made some brilliant signings for Tottenham, that’s for sure.
