Liverpool has been told that Antonee Robinson would be the ideal replacement for Andy Robertson this summer. Despite the Reds winning the Premier League, Robertson has endured a difficult season on an individual level, facing criticism after committing a series of mistakes over the course of the campaign.
Liverpool is believed to be considering its options at left-back this summer, with a successor to Robertson high on the agenda. Robertson turned 31 in March, while Kostas Tsimikas, who will also enter his 30s next season, has not shown enough to suggest he is capable of replacing the Scotland international.
Milos Kerkez of Bournemouth is the player who has been most strongly linked with a move to Anfield, but former Reds striker Emile Heskey believes Fulham’s Robinson would be the ideal fit.
“I would choose Antonee Robinson from Fulham if I could sign anyone to play left back for Liverpool,” Heskey told Best New Bingo Sites. “Liverpool should do all they can to sign him, as I believe he is a like-for-like replacement for Andy Robertson.
“Robinson has had success this season getting up and down the wing, crossing the ball and making the box, where he has contributed goals, which is exactly what Liverpool used to get from Robertson in his prime.
“Unfortunately for Robertson, it looks like his time at Liverpool is coming to an end which is a shame, but he can be proud of everything he has achieved with the club. He came in for a tiny fee, and he has been unbelievable for years and won everything possible. What a brilliant servant.
“However, I do think Liverpool need an upgrade now, and there’s no better player out there for them than Antonee Robinson, he would fit perfectly into this team.”

Unfortunately for Heskey, signing Robinson might not fit in with Liverpool’s transfer policy. The Reds tend to target players in their early and mid-20s, and he will be 28 by the time Liverpool gets its 2025-26 Premier League campaign under way.
Bournemouth’s Kerkez, meanwhile, is just 21 years old and has emerged as one of the best left-backs in the Premier League this season. The Cherries signed a new left-back during the January transfer window, with Julio Soler, 20, arriving from Argentinian team Lanus, and while he was not signed as a direct replacement for Kerkez, Soler’s arrival would no doubt smooth over any possible exit for the Liverpool target.
In a YouTube stream during January, Kerkez responded to rumors linking him with Liverpool in a manner that Reds fans wouldn’t have liked, saying: “I will not go to Liverpool. For everybody listening, I will not go to Liverpool.”
It would be silly to read too much into that, though, given Kerkez was unlikely to say otherwise and risk piling unnecessary pressure on himself for the remainder of the campaign.
