Lucas Bergvall says £25m player has become his best friend at Tottenham now

3 Min Read

Lucas Bergvall probably hasn’t had the debut season he expected to have at Tottenham.

Indeed, when Bergvall snubbed Barcelona for Tottenham last January ahead of a move in the summer, things were looking up at Spurs.

Tottenham were on track to qualify for the Champions League, and Ange Postecoglou had charmed the Premier League with his brand of attacking football and his unique media handling ability.

Now, 18 months later, Tottenham are closer to the relegation zone than the Champions League, Postecoglou is on the verge of being sacked, and the Australian is being criticised for how he handles the media.

To say Bergvall’s first season has been unsettling would be an understatement, but, somehow, the midfielder has still managed to find his feet in north London.

Indeed, Bergvall has earned plenty of praise this season, while he’s also settled into the squad.

Speaking to Spurs’ official TikTok page, Lucas Bergvall has now named who his best friend is at Tottenham.

However, according to Bergvall, Dejan Kulusevski is his best friend at Spurs.

Both players are from Sweden and they’re also teammates at international level, so it’s not hard to see where this bond has formed.

Say what you will about Tottenham, but this is a tight-knit bunch of players.
