Tom Bishof wants to hit the ground running at Bayern Munich…
According to a report from Sport Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich signee Tom Bischof is set to skip the U-21 EUROs this summer with Germany, so that he can join his new club and play in the Club World Cup:
Tom Bischof has decided to skip this summer’s U21 Euros with Germany in order to go with Bayern to the Club World Cup and start establishing himself in the team.
Bischof is expected to compete for playing time in the central midfield with Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Aleksandar Pavlović, Konrad Laimer, and João Palhinha, though he can play as an attacking midfielder and a wing as well. Bayern Munich is expected to attempt to move at least one player from that midfield group to make room for Bischof, but it is unclear if that will happen as of yet.
Regardless, the Hoffenheim star is expected to have a bright future in Bavaria — and fans will surely be looking forward to seeing compete at the Club World Cup.
