Lamine Yamal has stolen all of the headlines this week after his remarkable performance vs Inter Milan in the Champions League.
Yamal is one of the best players in the world right now, but, according to Tammy Abraham, there’s a player at Arsenal who is even better than Yamal.
Speaking to the Baller League on TikTok, Abraham was asked to rank three of the most exciting attackers in the world at the moment – Bukayo Saka, Lamine Yamal and Ousmane Dembele.
Dembele and Yamal are two frontrunners for the Ballon d’Or, but Abraham has now put Saka ahead of the two Champions League stars.
Indeed, Abraham ranked Saka ahead of both Yamal and Dembele.
Tammy Abraham ranks Bukayo Saka ahead of Lamine Yamal and Ousmane Dembele
Abraham shared his ranking when asked to compare Saka, Yamal and Dembele.
The AC Milan striker says that he absolutely loves Bukayo Saka, so he put him in first place, ranking Yamal in second while Dembele was in third place.
Saka is a world-class player, and he certainly belongs in this conversation alongside Yamal and Dembele.
However, the numbers perhaps suggest that Abraham is being biased towards his fellow countryman in this ranking.
Bukayo Saka compared to Lamine Yamal and Ousmane Dembele
Abraham put Saka ahead of Yamal and Dembele, but the numbers tell a different story here as Dembele appears to be the best of this trio.
Indeed, in terms of sheer output this season, Dembele has been on another level compared to Saka and Yamal.
Stats this season | Bukayo Saka | Lamine Yamal | Ousmane Dembele |
Games | 32 | 47 | 44 |
Goals | 11 | 13 | 32 |
Assists | 13 | 15 | 9 |
Of course, Saka is doing it in the Premier League, whereas La Liga and Ligue 1 are seen as weaker leagues.
However, Yamal showed this week in the Champions League why he’s one of the best in the world, while Saka saw first-hand how Dembele could be the difference-maker against Arsenal.
With the second-leg still to come, there’s time for this story to change, but, at the moment, it looks as though it could well be Yamal vs Dembele in the Champions League final this year as Saka is forced to watch from home.
Saka, Dembele and Yamal may well be the definitive attackers in world football over the next few years.
