Tottenham Hotspur ran out 3-1 winners over Bodo/Glimt in their Europa League semi-final first leg on Thursday night.
Brennan Johnson opened the scoring with the quickest Europa League semi-final goal in history, heading home with just 38 seconds on the clock.
James Maddison then doubled Tottenham’s lead in the 34th minute, clinically slotting home after latching on to a world-class Pedro Porro delivery.
Dominic Solanke then scored from the penalty spot on 61 minutes for a 3-0 advantage which would’ve made them heavy favourites to reach the final.
However, Bodo/Glimt gave themselves hope ahead of the second leg with an 83rd-minute Ulrik Saltnes goal, via an unfortunate Rodrigo Bentancur deflection.
Plenty of Tottenham players did well on the night, with one being praised by fans for delivering what they deemed one of his best displays for Spurs.

Tottenham fans rave about Yves Bissouma display against Bodo/Glimt
Yves Bissouma made the Tottenham starting XI in wake of Lucas Bergvall’s ankle injury, which has left him needing crutches for the time being.
Bissouma did very well on the night, prompting Spurs fans to sing the £30million man’s praises on social media.
“Credit where it’s due Bissouma was class,” one fan wrote on X. “One of his best performances in a Tottenham shirt. MOTM.”
Another said: “Bissouma’s had his best game in a long time.”
The praise for Bissouma kept coming, with one fan saying: “Vintage Bissouma performance. Needed that.”
Another said: “Today I think Bissouma has played his best game in a while! Looks hungry and positive!
“We have looked solid in midfield tonight and defended very well. More balanced.”
Another wrote: “Best performance from Biss in a long while, I mean he hasn’t played for a while but that was the Biss of Brighton.”

Postecoglou went with a midfield trio of Bissouma, James Maddison and Rodrigo Bentancur in the absence of Lucas Bergvall.
The Tottenham manager backed Bissouma to do a good job in Bergvall’s absence ahead of the match.
“I just think the balance of our midfield with what we need to do tonight and what we’re facing up against,” the Spurs boss said.
“The beauty of Lucas was that he gave us the balance in there and for tonight Biss will give us more of the input we need.”

Bissouma delivered an inspired performance, weighing in with three tackles, two clearances, a block and an interception, along with having four efforts.
The Mali international also won four of his seven ground duels and completed 29 of his 33 passes on the night.
