Bayern Munich is set to square off with RB Leipzig…
Min-jae could be had…for the right price, but he sees no reason to leave (Sport Bild’s Christian Falk via @iMiaSanMia)
Bayern Munich has been rumi
Bayern would be prepared to sell Kim Min-jae if they get an offer of between €40m-50m. The defender is at the point of considering a potential transfer to Saudi Arabia if a good offer came in the summer. Both sides would be open to talks.
However, Min-jae told Falk’s colleague, Tobi Altschäffl, that he does not see any reason to think about an exit at this point.
“For me, there’s no reason to leave. I hope I can stay. But we’ll see. I just want to be fit next season,” Min-jae said.
The situation surrounding the Korean defender is…awkward. While he has had moments of brilliance and has show an incredible amount of toughness in playing through injuries this season, there does seem to be doubt mounting about his ability to consistnely play at the level required for the role at Bayern Munich.
Will Min-jae be back with Bayern Munich next season?

Gnabry details Kompany’s 1-on-1 style in training (Bundesliga.com via @iMiaSanMia)
Bayern Munich winger Serge Gnabry is a fan of Vincent Kompany’s coaching style.
“Whenever he has something he thinks could be better or different in that way, he says it to you. He doesn’t hold back, which I think is a very good thing. To be coached very detailed as a player helps you to understand what the coach wants, what maybe you don’t see. I’m sure there’s always something you can learn from every coach.”
Wirtz to follow Alonso to Madrid? (Diario AS via ESPN)
Bayern Munich wants Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz, but the potential move for Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid could throw a wrench into that plan for the Bavarians:
Real Madrid are planning to appoint Xabi Alonso after the Club World Cup, and he wants to sign Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi plus two players from former club Bayer Leverkusen: Florian Wirtz and Jonathan Tah.
Per a Sky Sport (via ESPN), Bayer Leverkusen would rather send Wirtz to Spain than see him play for Bayern Munich:
If Wirtz tells Leverkusen he wants to leave this summer, the club will first try to move him on to a team outside of Germany in preference to dealing with Bayern Munich.

Inter to get Canadian star? (ESPN)
Inter Milan might be the frontrunner to land Canadian striker Jonathan David:
Internazionale are trying to steal a march on their transfer rivals by sending a €5m-a-year contract offer to Lille striker Jonathan David, reports Gazzetta dello Sport. The Canada international is out of contract in June, and will be available on a free transfer. However, a host of other clubs are monitoring the situation and could make a counter offer. Previous stories have indicated that the 25-year-old wants a salary of €9m-a-year, which makes Arsenal, Barcelona and Juventus more likely destinations.

Was FC Bayern ever at a crossroads in sporting and financial terms? Hoeneß says 1984 was the time (kicker via @iMiaSanMia)
Uli Hoeneß says 1984 was the make or break point for Bayern Munich as a club.
“Before we sold Kalle Rummenigge to Inter Milan in 1984, we weren’t doing so well financially. We put that behind us forever and had no more debts. I still remember 2007, when we only made it to the UEFA Cup and invested in Luca Toni, Franck Ribéry, Miro Klose and others in one summer,” said Hoeneß. “At a supervisory board meeting, a member said: ‘That’s over 100 million euros!’ – Franz [Beckenbauer] was president and countered: Do you know that FC Bayern is a football club and not a bank? That was the beginning of a new era with more risk and higher expenses. But we were able to sort it out with our fixed deposit account.”
