It’s Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday. And we’re so busy getting down to the business of setting you a quiz every week we haven’t had time to get up to date with our extremely millennial cultural references.

Still, not to worry, because that’s not what you’re here for anyway, right? You want a quiz. And by goodness have we got a quiz for you.

It’s a real classic selection this time round as we test you with questions on FA Cup finals, identifying a mononymous player by their full name, and World Cup final goalscorers.

Enjoyed our Friday Football Quiz? We’ve got a great selection of other football challenges for you.

Why not test your knowledge of individual accolades in the English game by trying to name every major award winner since 1993? Or perhaps take a trip down memory lane and see how much you can remember about the 2018 World Cup in Russia?

For a bit of a different challenge, see if you can identify the 20 missing sponsors from these iconic football shirts. If your Premier League knowledge is strong, why not try to name Liverpool’s top 20 all-time scorers in the competition?

Looking further back on the international stage, test your recall of the stars of the 1994 World Cup. Or, for a quiz focused on high-scoring Premier League action, see if you can name every player to have netted four or more goals in a single game.
