Manchester City entertained Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Etihad Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to earn a win at home in the Premier League. Pep Guardiola’s men made a good start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 35th minute thanks to Kevin de Bruyne’s effort. The home team sat on their lead well and went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.

Man City defended their slender lead well in the second half and secured a narrow 1-0 victory in front of their home fans.

Let’s take a look at how each Manchester City player fared during the clash against Wolves.

GK: Ederson – 6.5/10

The Brazilian keeper made one save during the game and secured an easy clean sheet at the Etihad.

RB: Matheus Nunes – 7/10

He performed his defensive duties well and made one good run with the ball.

CB: Ruben Dias – 7/10

Dias cleared the danger when he could and did enough to keep a clean sheet tonight.

CB: Josko Gvardiol – 7.5/10

He earned possession back twice on the defensive end of the field and was accurate with his passing.

CM: Ilkay Gundogan – 6/10

Gundogan made one good chance in the final third and was tidy with his ball distribution.

CM: Mateo Kovacic – 7/10

He got stuck in with plenty of solid tackles in the middle of the park and was not shy of having a strike at goal.

RW: Bernardo Silva – 8/10

Silva was a positive influence at both ends of the pitch and managed to engineer a few inviting chances for others around him.

CAM: Kevin de Bruyne – 7.5/10

He scored the only goal of the game in the 35th minute.

LW: Jeremy Doku – 7.5/10

Doku made a few driving runs with the ball on the left flank and secured an assist for setting up De Bruyne’s goal.
