Arsenal fell to a disappointing 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth in Saturday’s late Premier League kick-off.
The Gunners, who have already lost the Premier League title race, will now need to start looking over their shoulders for the teams that are after their second-place spot.
Declan Rice opened the scoring for Arsenal in the 34th minute, but Dean Huijsen equalised on 67 minutes before Evanilson netted Bournemouth’s winner on 75 minutes.
A number of Arsenal fans were stunned by one Bournemouth player in particular, with some urging the Gunners to sign him and others expecting Mikel Arteta will want him.

Arsenal fans impressed by Antoine Semenyo long throw-in skills
The player in question is Antoine Semenyo, who is on Arsenal’s radar this summer, according to TBR Football sources.
Semenyo stunned the Gunners backline with an incredible long throw-in which Huijsen nodded past David Raya in the hosts’ net.
Arsenal fans, well aware of their side’s apparent reputation as ‘Set Piece FC’, think Semenyo would be a neat addition to their ranks.
“Semenyo has the long throw gene loooool I know Arteta is licking his lips,” one fan said on X.
Another wrote: “We need to buy Semenyo so we can fully embrace our destiny as set piece FC. That long throw was phenomenal.”
The praise for Semenyo kept coming, with one fan saying: “Arteta and Jover will be desperate to sign Semenyo this summer.”
Other fans noted how Semenyo’s throw-in would have reminded some of Stoke City cult hero Rory Delap, who was known for tormenting Arsenal with his incredible long throws.
“Arsenal fans haven’t yet recovered from the Rory Delap PTSD and now Semenyo with a throw-in assist,” one said.
Another wrote: “Semenyo I was not aware of your Rory Delap-inspired skills.”
Good news for Arsenal fans regarding Antoine Semenyo interest
Arsenal scouts were already monitoring Semenyo prior to Saturday’s game and no doubt their interest will be even more piqued now.
The good news for the Gunners is that they won’t have too much resistance if they do want to sign him.
Sources have confirmed to TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey that Bournemouth will allow Antoine Semenyo to move on this summer.
This is despite the likely departures of Dean Huijsen and Milos Kerkez, both of whom have also impressed for the Cherries over the past nine months.
However, Semenyo won’t come cheap for Arsenal – or indeed for fellow suitors Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham and Newcastle.
We are told Bournemouth would look for more than £60million for the Ghana superstar and, as it stands, that is likely to be above the valuation of any of his English suitors.
As things stand, the most likely destination for him could be the Saudi Pro League.
