Wolves made City fight all the way for victory and twice hit the woodwork either side of half time through Rayan Alt-Nouri and Matheus Cunha.
But Pep Guardiola’s side got the job done to move another huge step closer to confirming a top-five finish and with it entry into next season’s Champions League.
