Team news

Arsenal has struggled with injuries throughout the season and Mikel Arteta remains without a host of players for the game against Bournemouth.

Jorgnho, Riccardo Calafiori, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Jesus and Takehiro Tomiyasu are all out. Arteta is hopeful that Jorginho, Calafiori and Havertz will return before the end of the season, but both Gabriel and Tomiyasu will not play again until next season.

“Calafiori is out, Jorginho is still out,” Arteta said in a press conference. “Jorginho’s got a bit more complicated than expected. Thankfully, he’s fine, he’s feeling good, he’s recovering well, but yeah, it was a bit more than what we wanted. I think I’ll leave it to the doctor if he wants to clarify or judge that.”

Thomas Partey is available after missing Tuesday’s Champions League loss to Paris Saint-Germain through suspension.

As for Bournemouth, Cherries boss Andoni Iraiola said he had no fresh injury concerns ahead of the game. “We will have the same players we had available the other day, more or less. We are pretty consistent,” Iraola said. “Right now, we only have the issues with Ryan [Christie], Enes [Ünal] and [Luis] Sinisterra. The others are available and ready for tomorrow.”

Evanilson is available after his three-match suspension, which he picked up after being sent off against Manchester United last weekend, was rescinded.
