Torino president Urbano Cairo has said that it is “normal” for goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic to be the subject of transfer speculation considering his performances during the 2024-25 campaign.
The 28-year-old has been in excellent form for Torino this season, keeping 11 clean sheets in 36 appearances, conceding only 39 times, and there have been suggestions that he could be on the move this summer.
Manchester United are said to be huge admirers of the 6ft 8in goalkeeper, with the Red Devils believed to be giving serious consideration to making a move for him during this summer’s transfer window.
Torino only have Milinkovic-Savic on a contract until June 2026, although there is the option to extend his deal for a further 12 months, so the Italian side are in a relatively solid position when it comes to any negotiations this summer.

Man United have been linked with a move for Milinkovic-Savic
The Serie A team’s president has revealed that no offers have been presented for the goalkeeper, but he has refused to rule out a departure for the Serbia international.
“He had a great championship and it is normal that he receives a lot of attention, but no offer has arrived yet. I have learned that setting goals is not a positive thing,” Cairo told La Stampa.
“It is better to do things with the lights off, with the right grafts and then in all teams there are replacements of players who are sold and bought, the important thing is to find the right players to strengthen the team.”
Milinkovic-Savic made the move to Man United in 2014, but he failed to earn a work permit to play in England, so he was released by the Red Devils in November 2015, signing a four-and-a-half-year contract with Polish club Lechia Gdansk.
The Serbia international has been with Torino since 2017, making 155 appearances in all competitions, keeping 52 clean sheets in the process, and he has emerged as an interesting option for the Red Devils.

Will Onana leave Man United this summer?
Man United’s number one goalkeeper Andre Onana has had a relatively uneventful few weeks since being left out against Newcastle United due to his struggles against Lyon in the Europa League.
The Cameroonian has started Man United’s last four games in all competitions, including Thursday’s 3-0 success over Athletic Bilbao in Spain, but there remain huge question marks surrounding his future at Old Trafford.
Head coach Ruben Amorim is said to be looking for a new number one this summer, with Onana potentially returning to Serie A, while a number of Saudi Pro League clubs are said to be keeping a close eye on his situation.
