West Ham United and Liverpool have had two very different seasons.
The two sides were separated by just six places in the Premier League table last season, but the gap is significantly bigger this time around.
The Reds have been crowned as the champions, while West Ham are currently 17th in the table, having won just nine games in the league all season.
Despite the big difference, the Irons could make a move to sign one Liverpool player this summer.
West Ham eye move for Liverpool star Caoimhin Kelleher and another goalkeeper
Caoimhin Kelleher‘s future lies away from Liverpool.
The Ireland international is viewed by many as the best second-choice goalkeeper in the Premier League. He has stepped up and delivered for the Reds whenever he has been called upon.
However, Kelleher, hailed as ‘world-class‘ by Virgil van Dijk, knows that he will not have a place at Liverpool next season because Giorgi Mamardashvili is set to come in this summer.
That is why Arne Slot and Liverpool are ready to sell Kelleher once the transfer window opens in July.
Now, GiveMeSport have claimed that West Ham United have an interest in Kelleher and could make a move to sign him if they decide to change their goalkeeper.
Aaron Ramsdale, who suffered relegation with Southampton, is another goalkeeper on the Irons’ radar ahead of the summer window.
Both Kelleher and Ramsdale are expected to be on the move this summer.
Five strikers are on West Ham’s shortlist
West Ham are set for a major rebuild under Graham Potter this season, and they are looking for reinforcements in multiple positions.
A new striker is an absolute necessity for the Irons, who have scored just 39 goals in 34 Premier League games this season.
GMS reveal in the same report that as many as five strikers are ones to keep an eye on with West Ham, but two of those deals may prove to be impossible.
Jonathan David and Liam Delap are both of interest to West Ham, but a move to the London Stadium is unlikely as many bigger clubs want them.
The report claims that if the Hammers decide to be ambitious, the three strikers they could target are Hugo Ekitike of Eintracht Frankfurt, Dusan Vlahovic of Juventus and Emanuel Emegha of Strasbourg.
