Ligue 1’s two most in-form clubs go head-to-head at the Stade de la Meinau on Saturday, when Strasbourg host champions Paris Saint-Germain.

The hosts are storming towards an unlikely top-four finish, while PSG will have all of their focus elsewhere, after sealing the title last month, and losing their unbeaten streak at home against Nice a week ago.

We say: Strasbourg 1-1 Paris Saint-Germain

Strasbourg could not have picked a better time to play the runaway champions, who will have more than one eye on the second leg versus Arsenal on Wednesday, and Rosenior’s men have proven themselves capable of competing with any side in Ligue 1 this season.

However, PSG’s second-string XI is still very impressive, including players that would get into every other team in the division, so it will not be plain sailing for the hosts.

Toulouse and Rennes will lock horns at the Stadium Municipal for a Ligue 1 fixture that has very little riding on it on Saturday evening.

Both clubs are safe in mid-table, with a growing gap between themselves and the top half, and recent performances can suggest that they know their seasons are done.

We say: Toulouse 0-1 Rennes

Rennes do not do draws, with just two of their 31 games this season ending level, and none since Beye arrived in January, so it is often all or nothing with the visitors.

Toulouse have had their feet up for quite a few weeks now, and it is tough to see them turning on the style in a dead rubber fixture like this, so limping to a narrow defeat looks likely.

Saint-Etienne and Monaco face off at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard in a fixture with huge importance at both ends of the Ligue 1 table on Saturday night.

The hosts are staring down the barrel of relegation, while Adi Hutter’s Monaco are in danger of throwing away their place in next season’s Champions League.

We say: Saint-Etienne 1-1 Monaco

Saint-Etienne are much stronger at home while Monaco are weak on their travels, so despite the whopping gap between the two in the Ligue 1 standings, the hosts should not be discredited.

Monaco have proven tough to break down in recent weeks, but Les Verts will look to the performance of Le Havre last week for inspiration, and they could well take a valuable point.
