Chelsea vs. Liverpool team news: Enzo Maresca makes Robert Sanchez, Romeo Lavia decisions

2 Min Read

Chelsea and Liverpool have announced their starting lineups for Sunday’s Premier League fixture at Stamford Bridge.

Enzo Maresca‘s biggest selection decisions were regarding whether to recall goalkeeper Robert Sanchez after a knock and whether to start Romeo Lavia.

The Italian has opted to use both players in his first XI, ensuring that an unchanged team from the 1-0 victory over Everton last weekend is named.

As a result, Moises Caicedo begins at right-back for the second game in succession, while Pedro Neto gets the nod over Jadon Sancho.

Nicolas Jackson leads the line looking to build on his recent three goals from two games against the Toffees and Djurgardens IF.

Most notably, it is all change in the engine room with Curtis Jones, Wataru Endo and Harvey Elliott all being handed opportunities.

Meanwhile, Diogo Jota has replaced Luis Diaz down the centre of the attack, Slot choosing to keep Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah on the flanks.
