Liverpool plays its first game as the Premier League champion today as it heads to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea.
Arne Slot’s side is effectively on a month-long victory lap after wrapping up the title against Tottenham last weekend. All that’s left for the Reds now is to extend their lead at the top of the table, and they could open the gap up to 18 points today after Arsenal’s defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday.
The visitors should receive a guard of honor from their hosts today, with Chelsea looking to further its push for Champions League football next season. Enzo Maresca’s side already has one foot in the UEFA Conference League final, but will also have its eyes on a top-five finish.
