Liverpool are expected to sign multiple players this summer.
The Reds have been crowned as the Premier League champions this season. They have been the best team in the country and deserve to be where they are.
The likes of Arsenal and Manchester City will likely have much better campaigns next term, so Liverpool will have to up their game as well.
Arne Slot will seek reinforcements once the window opens, and the Merseyside giants have been linked with several names already.
Ian Wright has had his say on one of them now.
Ian Wright thinks Milos Kerkez to Liverpool is ‘probably done’
Milos Kerkez is all set to leave Bournemouth this summer.
The Hungary international has had an amazing season in the Premier League, and he has been attracting plenty of suitors in recent months.
TBR Football revealed recently that Liverpool are leading the race to sign Kerkez, but the left-back’s agents have sounded out other big clubs as well.
The likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea in England, and Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Napoli and AC Milan have all been made aware of his availability this summer.
Before Bournemouth’s game against Arsenal on Saturday, Michael Owen claimed that the Cherries could find it difficult to keep hold of their star players.
When the Ballon d’Or winner said that Liverpool could make a move for Kerkez, Wright claimed that he thinks that deal is ‘probably done’.
Owen said on Premier League Productions: “That’s a talented team, they’ve got some really talented players in the squad. As I just referred to before, they might just have a really difficult summer trying to shield a lot of their players away from the pack, really.
“Liverpool might come in for Kerkez. You’ve got Semenyo, who’s a top player. Arsenal are looking for their centre-half as well, maybe, Wrighty?”
Wright replied: “Yeah, Huijsen, he’s really impressive. I think Kerkez, that’s probably done, for me.
“The amount of talk we’ve been doing for so long, that’s probably done, which is a shame. He’s a fantastic player.”
Milos Kerkez’s performance against Arsenal shows why Liverpool want him
Kerkez started for Bournemouth against Arsenal and helped his side win 2-1.
The Hungarian was up against Bukayo Saka on Saturday, and he won that battle. The Arsenal number seven didn’t complete a single dribble in the game and had just two shots.
Sofascore gave Saka a 6.3/10 rating for his performance against Kerkez’s Bournemouth, the lowest he has been rated in the Premier League all season.
That is exactly why Liverpool want Kerkez. Their current left-back, Andy Robertson, had a torrid time against Saka when the two sides met earlier in the season.
Kerkez faed much better, and if the Reds do sign him, their left-back position will be sorted for many years.
