Arne Slot’s side is expected to be given a guard of honor by its opponent, having wrapped up the title last weekend against Tottenham. With four games remaining, the Reds are effectively on a month-long victory lap now, although they do have the chance to extend their lead even further after Arsenal’s defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday.

With the job already done though, Slot has promised he will be rotating his squad and giving some of his fringe players a chance. The question is, just how many changes will the Liverpool boss be eyeing up?

Well, we wouldn’t expect a change in goal. There’s no doubt Caoimhin Kelleher would do a good job stepping up in place on Alisson Becker, but since the Irishman is likely to move on this summer, it probably makes more sense to stick with the No.1 for the remainder of the season.

Slot though could make two changes in defense. Jarell Quansah will be desperate for a start, having started the season alongside Virgil van Dijk before very quickly finding himself on the periphery.

He can reclaim that place alongside the Liverpool captain today as he replaces Ibrahima Konate, who can take a well-earned rest. Kostas Tsimikas comes in for Andy Robertson at left-back, while Trent Alexander-Arnold continues at right-back, with doubts still lingering over Conor Bradley’s fitness.

Midfield is perhaps the most intriguing area for Slot to consider. Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai are clearly his favored trio, so we wouldn’t expect all three to come out of the side today, despite there being plenty of worthy candidates to replace them.

With that in mind, we’ll give Gravenberch and Szoboszlai a rest, with the in-form Mac Allister keeping his place.

Curtis Jones will surely be one of those coming in, while Harvey Elliott deserves an opportunity, so he can play as the No.10 here.

The front three is another tricky area to judge. You’d expect Mohamed Salah to retain his usual spot, but what about the other two?

Well, as much as we’d love to see Federico Chiesa given an opportunity, it might be too big a leap for him to go from just about making the squad to starting, so he’ll have to make do with a place on the bench for now.

In truth, we wouldn’t be surprised to see a fairly standard front three here. Cody Gakpo retains his spot on the left, but we’ll go with Diogo Jota to start up front in place of Luis Diaz, making it five changes in total.

Liverpool predicted line-up vs Chelsea: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Quansah, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Jones, Mac Allister; Salah, Elliott, Gakpo; Jota.
