Nantes and Angers will face off on Sunday at Stade de la Beaujoire in a pivotal encounter amid the ongoing Ligue 1 relegation battle.

The hosts are 14th in the table and four points above the drop zone, while the visitors are 15th in the league standings and just two points above relegation.

We say: Nantes 1-0 Angers

Nantes have had the upper hand in recent meetings, and with Angers losing eight of their last nine matches while failing to score in six of them, we expect the hosts to secure a win and keep a clean sheet.

Lyon will continue their battle for a Champions League place in the Ligue 1 table as they welcome European hopefuls Lens at Parc Olympique Lyonnais on Sunday afternoon.

The hosts are fifth in the table and just a point outside the top four, while the visitors must secure maximum points for the remainder of the season to have any chance of a European finish.

We say: Lyon 2-1 Lens

Lens may have had the upper hand in this fixture in recent meetings, but Lyon are in significantly greater form and will be desperate for the points to secure a top-four finish, leading us to expect a home win.

With continental football through a high Ligue 1 finish no longer attainable for Brest, Eric Roy’s men welcome relegated Montpellier HSC to Stade Francis-Le Ble for Sunday’s gameweek 32 clash.

The Pirates enter the weekend on a two-game losing streak, conceding seven goals altogether in those losses, and they aim to avoid losing three in a row against the visitors, who became the third team to exit the French top flight before May in the last 10 seasons after Troyes in 2015-16 and Dijon in 2020-21.

We say: Brest 1-0 Montpellier HSC

Despite the historical disappointments experienced in this fixture, Brest will back themselves against a Montpellier side that have failed to score in five of their last six away games, losing all six.

The Pirates have not lost consecutive fixtures on home soil since February-March 2023, and that year-long run should continue this weekend.

Aiming to leave the relegation playoff spot, Le Havre travel to 10th-placed Auxerre seeking maximum points in Sunday’s Ligue 1 contest at Stade de l’Abbe Deschamps.

The third-bottom side enter gameweek 32 having never lost to AJA in the top flight and hope to extend that 14-game sequence to boost their survival prospects.

We say: Auxerre 1-1 Le Havre

Having scored in 10 consecutive away games in Ligue 1 heading into Sunday’s contest, Le Havre are expected to score for an 11th game running on the road.

However, AJA are expected to respond in kind against the visitors, thereby securing a score draw and avoiding consecutive losses to the Dean Club this term.

Both looking to secure spots in the Champions League next season, Lille and Marseille clash at Decathlon Arena for an all-important Ligue 1 battle on Sunday night.

Les Dogues managed a comfortable away success at strugglers Angers last time out, whilst Les Olympiens were handsome winners at home against Brest.

We say: Lille 2-1 Marseille

With Champions League qualification on the line, we are expecting a cagey affair between two in-form teams at Decathlon Arena on Sunday night.

Lille have been exceptional at home in recent times whilst Marseille have struggled on the road, so we are leaning towards a narrow success for Les Dogues.
