Exclusive: Man Utd have now decided whether they want to sell Bruno Fernandes amid Saudi Pro League interest

TBR Football can exclusively reveal that Manchester United have made a decision over whether they wish to cash in on Bruno Fernandes, who has plenty of suitors across world football.

Fernandes is a match-winner for Manchester United and he has shown that this season by coming into his own during the second half of the season — despite Ruben Amorim’s side languishing in 15th place in the Premier League.

However, the Manchester United captain is 30 and judging by his age, the Portuguese international does not have too many more years left in the prime of his careeer.

While Fernandes is Manchester United’s linchpin, every player has their price.

However, sources have told TBR Football’s chief correspondent Graeme Bailey that Manchester United have no intention of selling Fernandes at the end of the season.

Fernandes is fully committed to Manchester United — despite the Saudi Pro League having shown an interest in prising the former Sporting CP midfielder away from Old Trafford.

Even European giants like Inter Milan, Bayern Munich and Juventus have a longstanding interest in signing the FA Cup winner.

Unsurprisingly so, as Fernandes, whose form at Manchester United was slated has turned his season around and can claim to be one of the best attacking midfielders in Europe once again — amassing 19 goals and 18 assists in 49 starts across all competitions this campaign.

As a result, United’s stance is straightforward: the club will not even entertain the idea of selling the midfield maestro.

Ruben Amorim’s three-word stance on selling Bruno Fernandes

But ultimately, Ruben Amorim would likely had the final say on most outgoings at Manchester United at the very least.

TBR Football confirmed last month that Amorim is open to selling Andre Onana who has been subject of interest from the Pro League.

However, Ruben Amorim recently confirmed that Fernandes is not leaving Manchester United anytime soon despite Saudi Pro League amongst other divisions plotting to secure his services.

“Sometimes, the frustration that you see, everybody sees and say maybe that it’s not a good thing in a captain, it’s a sign that he wants this so bad. So, this is the kind of player we want.”

But Amorim clarified “he’s not going anywhere” after speaking to Fernandes himself: “And he’s not going anywhere, because I already told him!”
