Arsenal have held talks with Jamie Gitten’s representatives about a possible move from Borussia Dortmund this summer, TBR Football can reveal.
Gittens has been on Arsenal’s radar for some time now, a 20-year-old who was on the books of both Chelsea and Manchester City as a youngster.
Gittens made the switch from City to Dortmund in 2020 and has slowly progressed through the ranks at the German side.
The left-winger is now following in the footsteps of both Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham in Dortmund, the latest Englishman to make a splash in the Bundesliga.
Gittens has made 46 appearances for Dortmund in all competitions this season scoring 12 goals, four of which came in the Champions League.
Arsenal have held talks with Jamie Gittens
That being said, TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Arsenal have been progressing with their interest in Gittens.
Andrea Berta has identified that Arsenal need an upgrade at left wing and he’s searching for a right-footed option to come in.

However, Arsenal sources are pushing back on the idea that any talks for Gittens are advanced at this stage, even if they have taken place.
Arsenal are working on a number of options for their out wide, including the likes of Nico Williams, Ademola Lookman and Rafael Leao.
Berta has held talks with Williams too, even if it remains to be seen whether the Spaniard would be keen to move to England.
But on Gittens’ part, TBR understands that the winger is ‘prioritising’ a move back to the Premier League.
There is interest from Spain and Italy in Gittens but the 20-year-old wants to move back to England.
Arsenal also interested in Real Madrid pair
In addition to the names mentioned above, Arsenal are also keeping very close tabs on Rodrygo and Arda Guler at Real Madrid.
Neither player was able to get the better of Mikel Arteta’s side in the Champions League of late, but both are hugely admired at Arsenal.
And fortunately for Arsenal, both could yet be available this summer too.
But in terms of Gittens’s future, the winger’s people are talking to Chelsea as well as Arsenal right now — a youngster who has the potential to star for any European side.
Gittens’ camp have also held talks with Liverpool, Tottenham and Aston Villa in recent weeks and there’s a host of clubs keeping close checks on the winger’s situation.
However, Chelsea and Arsenal are currently seen as the leading options by Gittens’ people.
