Liverpool are expected to be busy in the transfer market this summer – despite winning a 20th league title.

Arne Slot has guided Liverpool to the Premier League title in his debut campaign in the dugout, although question marks still linger over several players in the Dutchman’s squad.

Jarell Quansah could be sold after a difficult season, in which he was dropped after the opening day win over Ipswich, and also conceded a penalty last time out against Chelsea on Sunday.

Liverpool have been strongly linked with a move for Dean Huijsen as a potential replacement for the Englishman – and the Bournemouth No.2 has now addressed his future.

Dean Huijsen says he is happy at Bournemouth

By the sounds of it, the Spain international will not be agitating to leave the Vitality Stadium this summer, despite interest from the champions.

Huijsen told Spanish news outlet AS: “I don’t think about it much. Every day I go to training, to play in the games, and I’m happy. I’m having a good time and I’m not thinking about that. You are the ones to judge that.

“I’m not thinking about that, I’m focused on Bournemouth. We’re having a very good season. We’ve already broken the points record and we want to get as many points as possible this season.”

It comes after Florian Plettenburg of Sky Germany claimed that Liverpool have made a bid for Huijsen – with the club’s project under Slot being presented to the defender too – while it was also said that there are plans to loan or sell Quansah if a deal can materialise.

The 20-year-old has a release clause worth €60m (£50m) in his contract at Bournemouth, so Liverpool have no need to negotiate a fee with the Cherries.

Richard Hughes – Director of Football at Anfield – can simply trigger that fee, although Huijsen himself will still have to agree on a move to Merseyside.

TBR Football understand Arsenal and Real Madrid also want to sign Huijsen – with the latter even sending scouts to watch his recent performances for Bournemouth.

The Spanish giants are arguably the most attractive club in Europe, hence why Trent Alexander-Arnold has run down his contract at Anfield in order to secure a move to the Santiago Bernabeu, so fending off Los Blancos will be tough for both Liverpool and Arsenal.
