Manchester United have had a particularly poor season, and there are big questions to be asked about the standards at Old Trafford.
Indeed, Erik ten Hag’s training sessions were questioned before he was sacked, and with results not improving under Ruben Amorim, questions may need to be asked there too.

However, there have been some bright sparks at United this season.
Bruno Fernandes has been brilliant all season long. Fernandes hasn’t let his standards slip, and he puts everything into every game he plays.
However, according to Amad Diallo, speaking to Sports Direct, there may well be two players at Manchester United who work harder than Fernandes in training.
Amad Diallo names the two hardest trainers at Manchester United
Diallo was asked to name which Manchester United player trains the hardest.
Interestingly, the winger couldn’t pick just one player, giving two names as answers.
Intriguingly, Diogo Dalot and Lisandro Martinez were the two players Diallo picked out as the hardest trainers at United ahead of the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Harry Maguire and other key leadership figures.
“Hardest trainer?” Diallo was asked.
“Diogo and Licha,” Diallo said.
Amad Diallo’s most difficult opponent in training
Diallo says that Martinez and Dalot train harder than anyone else, so, it’s not much of a surprise to hear that the Ivorian struggles against these two in training too.
Indeed, via Manchester United’s website. Dalot named Martinez as his toughest opponent in training too.
“Licha [is the most difficult player to face in training],” Diallo said.
“He’s very strong in the training. For him, the training is like the Champions League final.
“He never trains easy, he goes stronger, so it’s harder to train against him.”
Unfortunately, Martinez going so hard in training does have its drawbacks.
Giving it 100% every single time you step onto the training ground is great in a lot of ways, but unfortunately, it’s taken it’s toll on Martinez’s body, and he has had a lot of injury problems this season.
Perhaps Martinez should tone it down a touch in training in order to preserve his fitness for the big games.
