Bayern Munich drawing Inter Milan seemed liked a winnable match-up at the time…until it wasn’t.
Inter took down Bayern in a tight tie, only to have the unenviable task of facing Hansi Flick’s FC Barcelona as its semifinal opponent. All Inter Milan did from there was slay the big, bad Catalans and advance to the Champions League final.
So…tell us BFW community, does it make you feel any better about Bayern Munich’s elimination or are you unfazed?
Anyway, good for Yann Sommer and Benjamin Pavard, two guys who faced a lot of criticism while at Bayern Munich. No doubt, this is a great feeling for them.
