Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Fiorentina striker Moise Kean.
The 25-year-old has supposedly captured the attention of a number of elite clubs ahead of this summer, including Champions League semi-finalists Barcelona.
Kean has enjoyed a very productive campaign for Viola in the Italian top flight, scoring 17 goals and providing three assists across 30 Serie A contests.
Such form is of stark contrast to his time at Goodison Park, where the attacker netted a mere four times during 39 competitives matches for Everton.
Kean and Fiorentina still have a chance of lifting some silverware this season, facing off against Real Betis in the second leg of their Conference League semi-final on Thursday night.
Man United eyeing shock move for Kean?
According to Footmercato, Manchester United have drawn up a four-man shortlist of striking options for Ruben Amorim ahead of the new season.
The report claims that Fiorentina hotshot Kean is one of the names included, with the attacker scoring 23 goals across all competitions so far this term.
The Italian is said to have a release clause of £42.5m in his contract with Viola – a stipulation that can only be triggered between July 1 and July 15.
As a result, the Red Devils will need to move quickly at the beginning of the summer transfer window if they wish to sign Kean for a cut-price fee.
Man United reportedly view the 25-year-old as a budget option for their attack, compared to some of the other names on their ambitious shortlist.
Who are Man United’s other targets?
It is believed that Man United are making the capture of Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres a top priority during the upcoming trading point.
The Red Devils are also known to be keen on Ipswich Town man Liam Delap, who is set the leave the Tractor Boys following their relegation to the Championship.
Currently on loan at Galatasaray, Victor Osimhen could make a high-profile switch from Napoli to the Theatre of Dreams before the 2025-26 term.
