Tick, tock…
With a rumored 10-day deadline to accept or reject Bayern Munich’s terms, Pini Zahavi, the new agent for Leroy Sané, is eager to get talks going per Sport Bild journalists Christian Falk and Tobi Altschäffl (as captured by @iMiaSanMia):
Pini Zahavi wants to speak to Bayern soon over Leroy Sané in order to find a solution.
A solution?
Bayern Munich does not seem very eager to find one of those. Per the latest reports, the club is going to remain firm in its stance — take the latest offer or leave it. Some would argue that the latest offer is more than Bayern Munich should pay for the winger, since he will almost assuredly be relegated to the bench if Florian Wirtz moves to the club this summer.
One has to wonder why Bayern Munich — knowing it might not be able to get rid of Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman — would have been so generous with Sané knowing his role would be diminished.
Regardless, the Germany international can definitely get paid more elsewhere, it will just come down to whether Bayern Munich is willing to budge. Knowing that it might have a bill in excess of €250 million for Wirtz, Bayern could just let Sané walk away.
Arsenal FC, Liverpool FC, and FC Barcelona are all reportedly interested in Sané.
Let’s celebrate Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga championship and talk about what it means for several key members of the squad like Harry Kane, Eric Dier, and…Thomas Müller. Let’s also chat about late drama with Leroy Sané’s contract extension, Serge Gnabry potentially taking over for Harry Kane, and Kingsley Coman possibly wanting to stay in Bavaria as well.
