Liverpool have a big summer transfer window on the horizon after winning the Premier League.
Indeed, the Reds will be looking to retain their league title for the first time in over 40 years next season, but, in order to do that, some big signings may be needed.
Milos Kerkez has been linked to Liverpool, while Jeremie Frimpong is on Liverpool’s radar too.
Darwin Nunez is set to leave Anfield this summer, and the Reds may need a new attacker to make up for that departure.
Writing in his newsletter for GiveMeSport, Fabrizio Romano has been asked about which attackers Liverpool want to sign, and he’s named who he believes to be the Reds’ dream target.
Alexander Isak is Liverpool’s dream target
According to Fabrizio Romano, Alexander Isak is Liverpool’s dream transfer target.
The journalist says that it’s early days and the deal is difficult, but Isak is the one attacker Liverpool would really like to sign.
“Which names are on Liverpool’s list as they consider strengthening their attack this summer?” Romano was asked.
“It’s still early for this. The dream is Isak but very, very difficult and so it will be seen later this summer, also based on budget,” Romano wrote.
How much will Alexander Isak cost?
As Romano says, a move for Isak for Liverpool this summer is very much dependent on the club’s transfer budget.
Liverpool should have money to spend this summer. Liverpool sources aren’t denying this will be a big summer, while it’s easy to see why the Reds believe this could be a big window.
Indeed, Liverpool have cash to spend, The Reds bid £111m for Moises Caicedo two years ago, and that money still hasn’t been spent, while Liverpool tried for Martin Zubimendi last summer, and that cash hasn’t been spent either.
So, how much will Alexander Isak cost?
Isak will seemingly cost Liverpool a club-record fee. £120m has been touted by some, but others have claimed Isak could cost £200m.
Whether or not Liverpool are prepared to go that high for the Newcastle star remains to be seen, but it sounds as though they are very keen on the Swedish forward.
