Chelsea entertained Djurgarden at Stamford Bridge earlier tonight as they hoped to earn a win in the second leg of their UEFA Europa Conference League semifinal tie. The Blues made a bright start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 38th minute when Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall found the back of the net. Enzo Maresca’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.

The West London club sat on their lead well in the second half and earned a narrow 1-0 win (5-1 win on aggregate) in front of their home fans.

Let’s take a look at how each Chelsea player fared during the contest against Djurgarden.

GK: Filip Jorgensen – 7/10

He made a few important saves during the game and kept a clean sheet tonight.

RB: Malo Gusto – 6/10

Gusto didn’t do much wrong when defending inside his half but lacked quality on the ball.

CB: Tosin Adarabioyo – 7/10

He maintained a good shape on the defensive third of the field and would be pleased with the clean sheet.

CB: Benoit Badiashile – 6.5/10

Badiashile was hardly tested defensively and was a strong presence in the air.

RM: Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall – 8/10

He was good on the ball and took his goal well in the first half which proved to be the difference between the two sides tonight.

CM: Reece James – 6.5/10

James distributed the ball well but struggled to make an impact in the final third.

CM: Marc Cucurella – 6/10

He did well to fill in as a midfielder in the first half.

LM: Jadon Sancho – 6/10

Sancho made some driving runs with the ball but there was no goal for him.

CAM: Reggie Walsh – 7/10

The talented teenager was composed on the ball and put in a good performance in the final third.

ST: Tyrique George – 8/10

George caught the eye at times in the opposition half and picked up an assist for setting up Dewsbury-Hall’s goal.

Substitutes:

ST: Shim Mheuka – 6.5/10

Mhueka held possession up well for his team.

LB: Genesis Antwi – 6/10

He put in a nice cameo off the bench.

CB: Trevoh Chalobah – 6/10

Chalobah was a solid presence on the defensive end of the field.
