Salah names PSG as best team in Europe
A few months ago, Mohamed Salah name-checking PSG as the best team in Europe would have been terrifying from a transfer perspective. Now, with his new Liverpool contract secured, it’s simply a matter of interest.
Speaking to L’Equipe (via the Mail), Salah has reflected on Liverpool’s meeting with the French side. He insisted that it was an even affair with no clearly superior outfit over the two legs, but conceded that PSG was a very strong opponent.
‘It was their day,” Salah admitted. “And I shook their hands and said to their players after “Congratulations, go and win” and that’s it.
‘We faced the best team in Europe in that tie.”
