Fabio Paratici is coming back to Tottenham as his FIFA ban draws to an end, after talks regarding a move to AC Milan collapsed.
The Italian is unconvinced by Postecoglou, although his preferred choice – Simone Inzaghi of Inter Milan – has now surely moved out of reach for Spurs.

A story from Inter Live recently claimed that Paratici is urging Levy to hire Inzaghi, and wants his fellow countryman to be in place by the start of pre-season.
However, the man born in Piacenza has just taken Inter Milan into the UEFA Champions League final after a thrilling win over Barcelona, remarkably defeating the Spanish giants 7-6 on aggregate across two legs.
As a result, Inzaghi’s stock has soared.

The 49-year-old has now taken Inter Milan to two UEFA Champions League finals in the space of three seasons, form which will not go unnoticed across the football world, and his progress makes us feel a departure from the San Siro is highly unlikely to occur.
With all due respect, if an exit does happen, it feels even more unlikely that Inzaghi will join Tottenham, a side in major need of improvement after 19 defeats in 35 Premier League outings so far this season.

Most likely options to replace Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham
Inzaghi would truly be a shock appointment amidst his rise to managerial stardom in Milan, although others have been linked who seem to be more realistic hires for Spurs.
For instance, Marco Silva is certainly obtainable for Tottenham. TBR Football understand the Fulham boss has rejected a new contract at Craven Cottage, and has a release clause worth around £8m in his current terms.
Elsewhere, Tottenham have approached Oliver Glasner of Crystal Palace – another manager who is yet to sign a new contract, with his current deal expiring in just over 12 months.
Spurs also like Scott Parker – who may relish a step up from Burnley, despite only just guiding the Clarets back into the Premier League.
