Young And Doucoure To Start | 4-2-3-1 Everton Predicted Lineup Vs Fulham

3 Min Read

Everton will face off against Fulham at Craven Cottage this Saturday afternoon as they hope to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Toffees were held to a 2-2 draw by Ipswich Town recently, so they would be eager to return to winning ways this weekend.

David Moyes will set his players up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make some tweaks to his first XI for this game. Ashley Young and Abdoulaye Doucoure will probably get the nod to play from the start of this contest.

Defence

Jordan Pickford will feature in between the sticks for the Merseyside club after shipping in two goals in his last league outing. Jake O’Brien will function alongside Jarrad Branthwaite at the centre of the Everton defence. Their main focus would be to keep the Fulham attackers quiet during the 90 minutes.

Ashley Young will operate as the right-back while Vitaliy Mykolenko hopes to impress on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.

Nathan Patterson, Michael Keane and Seamus Coleman will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

James Garner and Idrissa Gueye will anchor the midfield for Everton as they try to win the 50-50 duels at the centre of the park.

The talented trio of Carlos Alcaraz, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Dwight McNeil will play just ahead of them as part of Moyes’ attack. Both Alcaraz and McNeil need to stretch the Fulham backline if Everton are to pose a threat on the counter.

Jack Harrison and Tim Iroegbunam will have to settle for a spot on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if required.

Attack

Beto will lead the charge for the Toffees in the final third. He managed to get his name on the scoresheet against Ipswich last weekend which should keep him in good spirits going into this game.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Youssef Chermiti will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if needed.
