Matheus Cunha camp set for meetings with the likes of Arsenal and Newcastle United

TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has confirmed what Cunha’s sources are saying about the player’s future.

Cunha’s representatives are now saying that they have meetings scheduled with other clubs aside from Man United.

These include Premier League rivals Arsenal and Newcastle United, whom they have talked to previously.

However, we also understand that Cunha has already confirmed he wants to join Man United and they are just finalising the financial aspects.

As we have previously confirmed, Man United hope to get a deal for Cunha over the line by the end of the season.

Wolves also want it done as soon as possible and have already played their part by saying they are happy to do a deal in instalments for Cunha.

What Matt Doherty is ‘pretty sure’ about regarding Matheus Cunha

Matt Doherty, one of Cunha’s Wolves teammates, recently made a claim about Cunha that will be music to Man United fans’ ears.

Doherty claimed that Cunha is good enough to be playing regularly for Atletico Madrid right now.

The Wolves defender also backed Cunha to be “playing at the highest level imaginable” soon.

“Sometimes it takes you to move away from a place to find yourself, to realize what you need to do, maybe to get back to a place,” Doherty told Sky Sports.

“Because he should be playing week-in, week-out for Atletico.

“That’s not the case but I’m pretty sure he’s going to be playing at the highest level imaginable – Champions League, stuff like that – pretty soon.

“Huge, huge potential.”
