Report: Former Bayern Munich striker Sandro Wagner rejects Hoffenheim

Where will Sandro Wagner land?

In a bit of a shocker, former Bayern Munich striker Sandro Wagner rejected an offer to become the next coach at Hoffenheim per Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg:

Excl | Sandro Wagner have turned down TSG Hoffenheim!

Negotiations took place. He was their preferred option for the coming season.

But as reported: other Bundesliga clubs were are also in the race. Wagner is now said to have reached an agreement with one Bundesliga club. His camp was not available for comment. A decision is imminent.

One candidate for Hoffenheim in the event of a parting with Christian Ilzer is Lukas Kwasniok.

Wagner is considered one of the best coaching prospects in Germany and Hoffenheim would have offered him a quality roster, plus good financial support. Stay tuned for what might happen next with Wagner…
