Arsenal are set for a busy summer on the transfer front in the wake of a season that promised so much but has delivered very little.
The Gunners failed to mount a solid Premier League title challenge as Liverpool took the honours with several games to spare.
Arsenal also failed to advance to the Champions League final and they will now need to fight just to hang on to second place in the league table.
Now, one player Arsenal are keen on signing has now been tipped to become the world’s best in his position in just two years’ time.

Arsenal target Dean Huijsen backed by Tiago Pinto to become the best centre-back in the world
The player in question is Dean Huijsen, who has been making waves at Bournemouth and is wanted by most of the Premier League’s big clubs.
TBR Football previously confirmed that Huijsen’s camp have already spoken to several Premier League clubs including Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham, Aston Villa and Newcastle.
Bournemouth director Tiago Pinto has now described Huijsen as a winning lottery ticket and backed him to become the world’s best centre-back over the next few years.
Pinto told Gianluca Di Marzio: “When Huijsen arrived in Rome, two days later his teammates were asking me where I had found someone like him.
“For me today he is one of the five best central defenders in the world and in two years he will be the best.
“Signing Huijsen is like taking a lottery ticket knowing that it is already a winner.”
Pinto continued: “Because of his family, Dean has grown to be the number one.
“He has a crazy mentality, crazy self-confidence, he is a very intelligent boy, he speaks five languages and has incredible support from his family. It can’t go badly.”
How long before Arsenal could sign Dean Huijsen?
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey previously confirmed that Bournemouth want the Huijsen deal done quickly so they can reinvest the money elsewhere.
Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Arsenal, along with Liverpool and Chelsea, are hoping to get a deal over the line for the £50million man over the next few weeks.
“The idea of the three main Premier League clubs involved in this story, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, is to do the deal now as soon as possible,” Romano said on his YouTube channel.
“Now it means by the end of May, so to close the deal this month.”
