Tottenham Hotspur fans are still waiting to learn whether Son Heung-min will be able to play a part in Sunday’s Premier League London derby with Crystal Palace.
The South Korea international missed Thursday’s 3-1 Europa League semi-final second-leg win over Bodo/Glimt due to his foot problem, although Ange Postecoglou said before the game that Son may have a chance of featuring this weekend.
However, with a Europa League final against Manchester United on the horizon, it would be a shock to see Son risked on Sunday, where Postecoglou may finally re-promote Mikey Moore to the XI in his place.
The teenage sensation is likely to be part of a much-changed Tottenham XI, potentially with Mathys Tel and Wilson Odobert also operating in a youthful frontline as Dominic Solanke, Brennan Johnson and Richarlison are all spared.
Lucas Bergvall and James Maddison‘s season-ending injuries limit Postecoglou’s creative midfield options, though, so there should be no respite for Dejan Kulusevski in the most advanced midfield slot.
The same goes for Rodrigo Bentancur at the base of the midfield, but Pape Sarr‘s fresh legs should be utilised over Yves Bissouma, and it is likely to be all change in the Tottenham defence too.
As was the case against West Ham United, a second-string backline could comprise Kevin Danso, Ben Davies, Djed Spence and Archie Gray, but Guglielmo Vicario should don the gloves again.
Tottenham Hotspur possible starting lineup:
Vicario; Gray, Danso, Davies, Spence; Kulusevski, Bentancur, Sarr; Odobert, Tel, Moore
