Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal is a player Arsenal and every other club in the world wish they had in their side.
The 17-year-old has been absolutely incredible for the Catalans. He was magnificent for Spain at Euro 2024 as well and played a big part in helping them win the competition.
Yamal came ever so close to firing Barcelona into the Champions League final, but he is on course to win La Liga with the Catalan giants.
Everyone who has watched Yamal play has been impressed, but which players outside Barcelona have caught the young superstar’s eye?
Lamine Yamal says Bukayo Saka and Ousmane Dembele are his favourite players
Arsenal star Bukayo Saka, like Yamal, is among the best right-wingers in the world.
The Englishman has been one of the biggest reasons why Arsenal are challenging for the big trophies today. He carried them on his back for several years and is a superstar now.
Saka missed over three months of football due to injury this season, and you could see how much weaker Arsenal became when he was unavailable.
That shows just how important a player he is for the Gunners, and every Arsenal fan on the planet truly adores him.
Even Yamal appears to be a fan of Saka.
While speaking to Goal, the Barcelona youngster was asked who his favourite players in the world are.
Yamal replied: “Right now, outside of Barca, I think [Ousmane] Dembele or Bukayo Saka are doing really well.”
What Bukayo Saka has said about Lamine Yamal
Saka is still a young player, but he’s six years older than Lamine Yamal.
The Arsenal number seven has a lot more experience at the top level, and he has seen some great players over the years.
However, Saka feels that what Yamal has been doing for Barcelona at such a young age is ‘not normal’.
“He’s top,” Saka told Sky Sports.
“Honestly, doing what he is doing at his age, what can you say, he’s unreal. It’s not normal. No one does it. I don’t think I’ve seen that level for a 17-year-old, so credit to him.”
Saka dreams of winning the Ballon d’Or one day, and there’s every chance he will come up against Yamal in the race to lift the most prestigious individual award in football.
