The race for the Champions League places is heating up as Newcastle takes on Chelsea in the Premier League today.

With Manchester City unexpectedly dropping points at already-relegated Southampton on Saturday, the door is open for either the Magpies or the Blues to leapfrog Pep Guardiola’s side into third, and take a huge step toward securing a top five finish.

Having beaten Liverpool last weekend before wrapping up a place in the UEFA Conference League final in the week, Chelsea will be full of confidence, but Newcastle will be aiming to put a huge dent in its opponent’s hopes, and go just a point behind Arsenal in the process.
