Yoro limped off during United’s Premier League fixture against West Ham.

Ruben Amorim’s immediate reaction after being told about Leny Yoro’s injury during Manchester United versus West Ham speaks volumes.

Yoro was injured early on in the second half of the Premier League clash, with United 1-0 down at Old Trafford at the time through Tomas Soucek’s first half goal.

He received treatment on the pitch, before walking down the tunnel while clearly in some discomfort.

The 19-year-old has been one of United‘s star performers in recent weeks and, with the Europa League final just 10 days away, fans were immediately concerned that he may play no part in the match.

ESPN’s Rob Dawson reports that, as Amorim was being told about Yoro’s injury, the United manager had his head in his hands in despair.

The exact nature of the Frenchman’s injury is yet to be confirmed, with United medical staff appearing to perform examinations on his left foot.

It is the same foot that Yoro injured during pre-season, with the centre-back suffering a fracture to his fifth metatarsal on that occasion.

He missed over four months of action as a result, with Amorim recently rueing the fact that he was not able to have a complete pre-season with his new club after signing from Lille last summer.

Speaking last month, Amorim said: “He’s really confident. I think he’s improving the physicality, which was something that he was struggling with.

“He didn’t have pre-season, so we had to maintain Leny. Sometimes there were little problems and we had to start again.

“So we are seeing the work that all the staff are doing with Leny. He feels more at home in Carrington, in our club. You can see that he is a top, top, top player.”

After Yoro was substituted at Old Trafford, United conceded a second goal just five minutes later through Jarrod Bowen.

The 2-0 defeat leaves them in 16th place in the Premier League – but all eyes are now on the Europa League final and whether Yoro will be fit to play any part.
