As both sides continue to fight for their Primeira Liga survival with two games to play, Estrela Amadora will welcome second-from-bottom AVS to Estadio Jose Gomes on Sunday.

The Tricolores will be looking to bounce back after tasting defeat last time out, while the relegation-threatened visitors will be desperate to avoid yet another loss.

We say: Estrela Amadora 1-1 AVS

Neither side have been in the strongest form ahead of this game, but with their futures in the Primeira Liga at stake, expect to see a close-fought contest.

Additionally, Estrela have struggled for goals while AVS have been poor on the road, and this match is likely to be low scoring as a result.

Vitoria de Guimaraes will aim to tighten their grip on fifth place when they welcome rock-bottom SC Farense to Estadio D. Afonso Henriques for the penultimate game of the 2024-25 Primeira Liga campaign.

The Conquerors are three points clear of sixth-placed Santa Clara, having accumulated 54 points from 14 wins, 12 draws and six defeats, while the visitors prop up the standings due to an inferior head-to-head record against their fellow strugglers.

We say: Vitoria de Guimaraes 1-0 SC Farense

Farense may have found resilience on the road, but they are up against a Vitoria side that have been ruthless at home and carry real momentum into this one.

With the visitors struggling in front of goal and ranking as the joint-lowest scorers in the division, the hosts’ defensive solidity could once again prove the difference in a narrow victory.

With their chances of a top-half Primeira Liga finish slipping away, Moreirense are set to host Estoril Praia at Parque Desportivo Comendador Joaquim de Almeida Freitas on Sunday.

Os verdes e brancos will be looking to end their four-game winless run this weekend, while Os Canarinhos will be hoping to bounce back after their defeat last time out.

We say: Moreirense 1-1 Estoril Praia

Moreirense could be motivated by the potential of chasing a top-half finish, knowing that they need to win to make their ambitions into reality.

That being said, while both Os verdes e brancos and Estoril have slowed down in the closing stages of the season, the hosts have proven difficult to beat at home and the visitors have been resilient away, so expect an even contest.

After taking steps forward in their respective battles at opposite ends of the Primeira Liga table, Boavista and Porto prepare to lock horns in the Invicta Derby at Estadio do Bessa in what could prove decisive for both their fates in the campaign.

While the Chequered Ones eked out a vital win to climb into the relegation playoff spot, the Dragons capitalised on Braga’s latest slip to move into third.

We say: Boavista 0-1 Porto

Derbies tend to bring a fierce edge, and this one will be no different, particularly given how much is riding on it for both teams in their respective battles.

That said, while Boavista have found new life in recent weeks, Porto remain favourites to win this contest based on their dominant head-to-head record, with the hosts’ bluntness on home soil only adding to the visitors’ advantage.
