Manchester United have ditched their traditional home shirt this afternoon for their Premier League game against West Ham.
Instead, Ruben Amorim‘s men will wear a special one-off kit for the Old Trafford clash.
It’s been a great week for the Red Devils after they made it to the Europa League final, where they will play Tottenham in an all-English clash between two teams who have endured dreadful domestic campaigns.
And after all of that euphoria, it is back to the Premier League, where Man United may still finish 17th but claim Champions League football.
West Ham are currently occupying that spot, but if they win, they will leap above the Red Devils, who will be wearing a different shirt for a very good cause.
Why have Man United changed their kit?
The Red Devils men and women will be wearing their normal home kit this weekend, but instead of the usual sponsor, RED will be on the front instead.
As part of the club’s existing deal with their main front-of-shirt sponsors, Snapdragon, the US technology firm can nominate a charity to guest sponsor for one match per season
RED is an organisation founded by U2’s Bono and Bobby Shriver that partners with the world’s biggest brands and people to raise money, heat and urgency for the biggest global crises.
To date, RED has generated more than $785 million and helped 320 million people and will be the brand adorning United’s shirts today.
This is also in collaboration with MatchWornShirt.com, and after both games, fans will be able to bid on the match-worn limited-edition shirts of the men’s and women’s teams.

This Premier League game will take place on Sunday, May 11.
Kick-off at Old Trafford is scheduled for 2:15pm.
The match isn’t being streamed in the UK, with Sky Sports selecting Nottingham Forest vs Leicester City and Liverpool against Arsenal for their matches this weekend.
