Barcelona entertained Real Madrid at the Nou Camp earlier this afternoon as they looked to secure a win at home in La Liga. The Catalan club made a slow start to the game as they conceded the opening goal in the fifth minute when Kylian Mbappe scored from the penalty spot. The French striker doubled his team’s advantage just nine minutes later before Eric Garcia got a goal back for the home team in the 19th minute. Lamine Yamal equalised for the Catalan side with an excellent strike in the 32nd minute. Raphinha scored a quick-fire brace soon after as Hansi Flick’s men went into the half-time break 4-2 up on the scoreline.

Mbappe completed his hattrick in the 70th minute but Barcelona hung on and secured a hard-fought 4-3 win in the Clasico.

Let’s take a look at how each Barcelona player performed during the match against Real Madrid.

GK: Wojciech Szczęsny – 5.5/10

He made two solid saves at the back but conceded three times today.

RB: Eric Garcia – 7.5/10

Garcia did his fair share of defending and did well to score in the 19th minute.

CB: Pau Cubarsi – 6/10

He made two important clearances inside his half but was far from convincing on the defensive third of the field.

CB: Inigo Martinez – 5.5/10

Martinez was accurate with his passing but failed to keep things tidy at the back.

LB: Gerard Martin – 6/10

He caught the eye at times but was replaced in the 56th minute.

CM: Frenkie de Jong – 7/10

De Jong anchored the midfield with conviction but lacked quality in the opponent’s half.

CM: Pedri – 7/10

He was a positive influence at both ends of the field and has got an assist to show for his efforts.

RW: Lamine Yamal – 9/10

Yamal was a constant menace in the final third and scored the all-important equaliser for Barca with a great strike in the first half.

CAM: Dani Olmo – 6.5/10

He retained possession well in the Real Madrid half and was substituted in the 76th minute.

LW: Raphinha – 8/10

Raphinha caused all sorts of chaos in and around the opposition penalty area and managed to score a quick-fire brace in the first half.

ST: Ferran Torres – 8/10

Torres was a real threat up top and bagged a hattrick of assists this afternoon.

Substitutes:

LB: Alejandro Balde – 6/10

He was solid at the back.

CB: Andreas Christensen – 6.5/10
